(Please note this is the first blog I have ever written, and I am very nervous about posting. This topic is intended to be for a mature audience.)

Some people have the passion for saving animals; some have a passion for nature. God has given me a very interesting passion that really drains me emotionally and has flipped the way I view the world Most of you don’t know this, but God has put in me this passion that burns like hot coals for hurt women. I’m talking about the hookers, strippers, porn stars, traffic, rape, and domestic violence victims.

I realized that I had this passion after reading Annie Lobert’s myspace testimony about two summers ago. The gripping details of her reality really hit home as she explained the harsh truths of what goes on in this cold world. This caused me to break down inside with a desire to fall with my face down in front of these women and wash their feet. Not in a sense of worship to them, but for these women to understand their value and their beauty which radiates from the Lord who loves them unconditionally. It was then when I realized that I am set apart to love these women for what our culture would never love them for: their humanity. 

I feel their pain. I sense what they have gone through and I see it in their eyes; it’s a bond I share with these women even though I have never even been relatively close to what they have gone through. It’s a very deeply rooted ache that develops at the bottom of my stomach and won’t let go until I’ve fallen on my knees and have cried out for God to help His beautiful creation.

So why would God chose me of all people to inherit this gift? To live with a desire, to help save wretched women? I have no clue! But I am sure that it is God who has given me this desire and I pray that I will be used in this lifetime to help save these broken women for His glory. I have daydreamed about breaking into brothels and strip clubs and shooting down the pimps and just shouting “RUN, RUN, RUN!!” Or crashing into a house in Cambodia full of tiny girls who are forced into prostitution and just hug them for their innocence. To shatter their chains for them to be able to dance with no fear. Ahh, these are just dreams I hope to come true one day.

Until those glorious days (if they even come) I will live according to my Master’s way and do everything in my power to respect and love women.

The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” John 8:3-7
